Arsenal Football Stadium

Group photographs of football teams are a display of unity, discipline and common purpose. In 1933-34, Arsenal were League Champions. A photo of the winning team shows the players clasping their arms to their bodies, right over left. Those sitting in the front row hold their arms in similar fashion, feet squarely on the ground. Arsenal’s winning team, 2001-2, shows equal discipline but new, more open postures. Those standing have hands joined behind their backs. Those sitting have hands on knees, feet, again, squarely on the ground. The Annual Group Photograph is always at a new ground. As the perpetual away team we have worked on a series of new moves. This was an all seater event.
